Meopta offers various types of surface treatment technologies. Our highly skilled and experienced chemical engineers can design many different types of chemical surface treatment processes. Our core competencies include:

Preparation processes

  • Blasting (various materials used) – for removal of rust and other Mechanical impurities, for preparation of required surface structure
  • Grinding (rough and fine) – for removal of crude surface roughness
  • Brushing – for refining and integrating brushed surface
  • Polishing – for smoothing deformities on the surface layer
  • Tumbling (various tumbling media) – for mechanical surface finishing of high volumes of smaller parts
  • Ultrasonic Cleaning – for cleaning and degreasing
  • Acid Cleaning – for rust removal

Electrochemical processes (Inorganic surface treatment)

  • Metal Plating (nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium, etc.) – deposition of metal layer for anticorrosive protection and visual appearance
  • Black Oxidation – chemical surface finishing of carbon steel used as a anticorrosive and first coat
  • Anodizing (anodic oxidation, eloxal process) – electrolytic process of aluminum oxidation during which a layer of aluminum oxide is deposited on metal parts to decrease corrosion and create a decorative surface finishing
  • Chemical Oxide Coating – chemical oxidation of aluminum and its alloys in an alkaline baths to create a non-conducting oxide layer that is able to bind organic compounds
  • Brass Black Oxidation – chemical treatment for brass resulting in a black color with solid mechanical and chemical stability

Organic surface treatment

  • Lacquering – application of various lacquer solvents on mechanical parts
  • Preservative Treatment – temporary surface treatment to protect against corrosion by various preservatives (oil, wax, etc.)
  • Silk-Screening – monochrome and polychrome print on plane surfaces
  • Tampoprint - print well suited also for rugged and structural surfaces
